I am a 2010 graduate of Winona State University in Minnesota with a degree in Mass Communications.

I am from Horicon, WI.  Growing up, I spent many autumn seasons on my grandparents’ farm helping with their business selling pumpkins, produce, and crafts.

I have a deep appreciation for theater and always worked backstage for the musicals and plays in high school.  It was during the first show, freshman year, that I discovered my love for photography.  Since then, I have developed a wide range of photographic interests, from theater, to action, to portrait.

I also love to travel.  I have been to England with classmates after high school graduation, and the Navajo reservation for a documentary journalism class, which was a partnership between WSU and Dine College in Tsaile, AZ.  During the class we were split into five groups and each group documented the life of a Navajo elder, from teachers, doctors and code talkers.  These projects were then published and shared with the public.  Both schools hold copies in their libraries, but the rights to the documentaries remain with the Navajo Nation.

One summer I worked in Ely, MN at a canoe outfitters.  I took photos of guests and boy scout troops as they departed from the dock and returned after their trip in the Boundary Waters.
